On Aug. 27, Coffee County Schools and Coffee County EMA released new information on four new COVID-19 cases confirmed in the school system.

According to the release, the additional confirmed cases are on the campuses of Zion Chapel High School, New Brockton Elementary School and New Brockton High School.

Students, teachers, parents and the Alabama Department of Public Health have been notified by the school nurse and lead nurse and are currently following the ADPH quarantine protocols, according to the release.

“The Coffee County Schools’ administration and staff members are continuing to stay abreast of the ADPH recommendations and guidelines,” the statement read. “The safety of all students and their families is the utmost concern of our school system. We would again like to thank our students, parents and faculty for their continued patience, support and understanding of this ever-changing situation.”
