CHURCH ANNIVERSARY

Johns Chapel AME Church will celebrate its 133rd Church Anniversary on Sunday, May 15, at 10:45 a.m. Johns Chapel has been an integral component of the close-knit city of Enterprise since it was established in 1889. The guest preacher for this historic event will be Bishop Harry L. Seawright, Presiding Prelate of the 9th Episcopal District of the AME Church in the State of Alabama. He is the 133rd elected and consecrated Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. The theme is “Celebrating a Legacy of Living, Loving, and Serving Together in Unity,” from Psalms 133:1. AGLOW MEETING

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

First Baptist Church Level Plains will be kicking off the summer June 12-16, from 5-8 p.m. with Vacation Bible School called Monumental/Celebrating God’s Greatness.

COMMUNITY BIBLE STUDY

The Enterprise Women’s Day Class of Community Bible Study will meet on Mondays from 10 a.m. until noon through May 9 in the chapel of First Baptist Church in Enterprise. The current study is on the Book of Revelation. For those who cannot meet in person, a dedicated Online Core Group will be offered. FOSTER PARENT SUPPORT GROUP

A Foster Parent Support Group meets the first Tuesday of every month at Hillcrest Baptist Church in the Fellowship Hall from 6-8 p.m. Email [email protected] for more information or to sign up for childcare.

MILITARY SUPPORT GROUP

The Enterprise Military Support Group is meeting on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. at Church on Boll Weevil Circle located at 2017 Boll Weevil Circle, Enterprise. Anyone who needs to talk about difficult experiences and needs an understanding friend is invited. Please call (334) 894-6411 for more information.

GriefShare is taking a break for the summer. The next meeting will be Aug. 8.

PARENTS OF ADDICTED LOVED ONES

A free educational support group for parents and families of addicted loved ones will be held each Tuesday at Hillcrest Baptist Church from 6:30-8 p.m. Parking on Watts St., in Room D108 (look for sign). For additional information, call (334) 379-9118. Participants must be 18 years old or over.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY

Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday night at the Enterprise First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. It is a Christ-centered recovery group for any issue. We now offer a meal at 5:45 p.m. The Landing for teens will be offered as well as Celebration Place for K-6th grade. A quick check-in process for all ages is done by greeters at the Fellowship Hall entrance. Social distancing will be practiced and wearing a mask while moving around the room is encouraged. A large group meeting will start at 6:25 p.m. and small groups will begin at approximately 7:30 p.m. Call Denver at (334) 389-3584 to schedule a nursery worker for children under five or for more information.

CEMETERY UPKEEP

Goodman Assembly of God asks for a yearly donation of $50 for the upkeep of the church cemetery.
