The Daleville Warhawks scored five runs in the bottom of the second against Red Level on April 12 but just couldn’t pull out a win losing 21-7.
The Tigers scored in every inning and started the game off with 10 runs in the top of the first.
Daleville’s big fifth inning was propelled by Blake Moore who had a double and singles by Nic Duerst and Bryan Beckwith.
Moore led off on the mound for Dalevllle pitching one-third of an inning giving up nine runs on three hits with one strikeout. He was relieved by Jesse Holtcamp who pitched three and two-thirds innings giving up eight runs on three hits with two strikeouts. Ruben Garcia then came on in relief to pitch one-third of an inning giving up two runs on one hit and Trey Peter pitched the final two-thirds of an inning giving up two runs on two hits.
Duerst led the Warhawks at the plate going 2-for-3 scoring one run and 2 RBIs, Moore went 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs and Beckwith went 1-for-4 scoring one run and 1 RBI.
Daleville had five hits and six errors in the game while leaving six men on base. Red Level had nine hits and five errors while leaving seven men on base.
Red Level 15, Daleville 1
The Warhawks couldn’t get any offense going and fell to Red Level 15-1 on April 14. The Tigers scored 11 runs in the bottom of the third to put the game away.
Beckwith started on the rubber for the Warhawks pitching two innings and giving up two runs on three hits with two strikeouts. Kristian McDonald came on in relief to pitch one and one-third innings giving up eight runs on three hits with one strikeout. Garcia closed out the game for Daleville pitching two-thirds of an inning giving up give runs on four hits.
Isaak Testerman was the only Daleville batter to get a hit going 1-for 2 at the plate.
Daleville had one hit and two errors in the game while leaving two on base. Red Level had 10 hits and two errors while leaving eight on base.
