The Daleville High School track and field team participated Friday, April 15, in the Wiregrass Invite held at Enterprise High School. Six other schools competed including Carroll, Dothan, Enterprise, Geneva County, Headland and Providence Christian.

In the girls 100-meter dash, Jamariayna Lewis finished 15th in 13.84 and LaTerria Adams finished 23rd in 14.62.

In the girls 200-meter run, Lewis finished ninth in 29.47and Adams was 13th in 31.43.

In the girls 400-meter dash, Zanyla Rich finished in eighth in 1:07.08.

In the girls 100-meter hurdles, Rich finished 12th in 22.00.

In the girls shot put, Ta’miyah Johnson finished 11th with a mark of 26’10”.

In the girls discus throw, Johnson finished sixth with a mark of 82’0”.

In the boys 100-meter dash, Omarion Pinckney finished 15th in 11.74, Talageon King was 41st in 13.16 and Daniel Blake was 45th in 13.33.

In the boys 200-meter run, Pinckney finished fourth in 23.99, Jonathan Lett was 11th in 24.81, King was 17th in 26.80 and Blake was 19th in 27.56.

In the boys 400-meter dash, Amaury Gomez finished sixth in 57.01, Lett was 10th in 58.04, Bryan Beckwith was 12th in 58.52 and Bryan Glawson was 17th in 1:01.84.

In the boys 800-meter run, Jaylin Smith finished 11th in 2:25.80, Mason Lafferty was 16th in 2:35.18, Mark Romero was 19th in 2:41.39, Christian Mckeithen was 23rd in 2:47.66 and Julian Wierenga was 30th in 3:07.01.

In the boys 1600-meter run, Smith finished third in 5:23.67 and Lafferty finished fourth in 5:53.27.

In the boys 4x400-meter relay, Daleville “A” team of Lett, Smith, Beckwith and Gomez finished fifth in 3:54.46.

In the boys shot put, Timothy Waller finished fifth with a mark of 38’4”, Jeremiah Moore was sixth with a 38’0”, Caden Elmore was eighth with a 36’10”, Zacorey Culver was 12th with a 34’7”, Deauntae Brantley was 22nd with a 27’8” and Tony Ross was 26th with a 24’1”.

In the boys discus throw, Moore finished fifth with a mark of 106’7”, Waller was sixth with a 106’4”, Brantley was 15th with a 76’9”, Elmore was 16th with a 76’5”, Ross was 23rd with a 57’0” and Culver was 25th with a 52’0”.
