The Daleville High School track and field team traveled to Beauregard last weekend to compete in the 3A sectionals. Results are as follows:

In the boys 200-meter dash, Omarion Pinckney finished seventh in 23.63.

In the boys 400-meter dash, Bryan Beckwith finished 12th in 56.47, Amaury Gomez was 13th in 56.48 and Jonathan Lett was 14th in 57.36.

In the boys 800-meter run, Jaylin Smith finished 10th in 2:20.30, Mason Lafferty was 14th in 2:28.40 and Mark Romero was 18th in 2:40.65.

In the boys 1600-meter run, Smith finished sixth in 5:12.90 and Lafferty was 10th in 5:45.86.

In the boys 4x400-meter relay, Daleville finished fourth in 3:45.77.

In the boys discus throw, Timothy Waller finished third with a mark of 110’0 and Caden Elmore was 11th with a 78’5”.

In the boys shot put, Waller finished second with a mark of 41’3” and Elmore was seventh with a 35’7”.

In the girls 400-meter dash, Zanyla Rich finished fifth in 1:07.87.

In the girls discus throw, Ta’miyah Johnson finished first with a mark of 86’4”.

In the girls shot put, Johnson finished fifth with a mark of 29’2”.

The top five qualifiers in each event will compete at the state meet in Cullman on May 6-7. DHS athletes qualifiying include the boys 4x400 meter relay team, Waller in boys discus throw and shot put, Rich in the girls 400-meter dash, and Johnson in the girls discus throw and shot put.
