The Daleville High School track and field athletes competed in the 1A-3A Outdoor State Track and Field Championships from May 6-7 in Cullman. Four DHS athletes participated as well as the boys 4x400-meter relay team.

In the boys 200-dash prelims, Omarion Pinckney finished 11th with a time of 23.79.

In the boys discus throw, Timothy Waller finished 22nd with a mark of 93’2”.

In the boys shot put, Waller finished 12th with a mark of 40’4 1/2”.

In the boys 4x400-meter relay, the Daleville team finished eighth with a time of 3:43.20.

In the girls 400-meter dash, Zanyla Rich finished 17th with a time of 1:08.77

In the girls discus throw, Ta’miyah Johnson finished 14th with a mark of 79’10”.

In the girls shot put, Johnson finished 19th with a mark of 26’10”.
