Army Birthday Golf Tournament slated for June 11
Join Fort Rucker and the Silver Wings Golf Course in celebrating the Army’s 247th Birthday with an 18-hole golf tournament on Saturday, June 11. The format is a four person team scramble with a minimum of 18 teams and a limit of 36 teams.
Entry fee is $75 for non-members and $65 for members. Entry fee includes tournament course fees, range golf balls, mulligans, tournament meals and prizes.
Registration, range open and a breakfast sandwich and coffee will start at 6 a.m. A tournament rules briefing will be at 7:45 a.m. and the shotgun start is scheduled for 8 a.m. Lunch and awards will immediately follow play. Call the Silver Wings Golf Club for more information at (334) 255-0089.
Registration for the XXXIX Alabama State Games is open
The Alabama State Games, hosted by the Cities of Dothan, Enterprise and Ozark as well as Coffee County, Dale County and Houston County, will be June 10-12. The opening ceremony will take place on Friday, June 10 at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds in Dothan.
Athletes can look forward to participating in 27 sporting events and most will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.. Registration is open; visit alagames.com to sign-up.
