Daleville Mayor Jayme Stayton signed a proclamation recognizing April as Child Abuse Prevention Month during the Daleville City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 2. The proclamation states “child abuse and neglect is a serious problem affecting every segment of our community, and finding solutions requires input and action from everyone in the community.” It states that children “are our most valuable resources and will shape the futures of all communities in Alabama” and calls for organizations, businesses, and groups to come together to increase awareness and prevent child abuse.
