Bonita Peters, center, was named the Windham Elementary School “Extra Mile Employee of the Month” for May at the Daleville Board of Education meeting May 19. Peters, the school secretary, “takes care of all of us,” said WES Principal Dr. Lynn Irvin. “She is the face of the school. She brings a calm to the building. Together we’ve tackled many, many things that a typical school year does not bring.” From left, are Irwin, Peters and Daleville City Schools Superintendent Dr. Lisa Stamps.
