Synovus announces the appointment of Philip Wilkes as market executive for Enterprise and Kerri DeShazo as market executive for Dothan, effective Feb. 1. Wilkes and DeShazo succeed Lamar Loftin, who will retire from Synovus at the end of the month after 42 years with the bank.

“Philip and Kerri are tremendously experienced bankers who care deeply about the businesses and people they serve. Their communities and our bank will be well served by their knowledge of industries and economic development opportunities in southeast Alabama,” said Mark Lane, Synovus division CEO. “We congratulate Lamar on a well-earned retirement and thank him for his work on behalf of our bank and customers for more than four decades, as well as his continued service as Chairman of our local Board of Advisors.”

DeShazo has 26 years of banking experience and joined Synovus in 2008. She is a graduate of Troy University and lives in Headland. Wilkes’ banking career began in 1984 with Coffee County Bank, which was later acquired by Synovus. He attended Enterprise State Community College and completed the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
