Windham Elementary School in Daleville will conduct Pre-K and kindergarten registration for the 2020/2021 school year on May 26, 27 and 28.
Registration will take place in the Windham Elementary School from 9 a.m. until noon and from 1 until 3 p.m. each of those three days.
Parents registering students should take appropriate safety precautions to include wearing a mask, wearing gloves and using hand sanitizer.
No students/children are permitted on any Alabama state school campuses at this time, according to direction from Alabama State Superintendent Dr. Eric Mackey. Therefore, students/children of any age will not be permitted at registration.
In order to complete the Pre-K/ kindergarten registration process the following items are needed at the registration:
• Student’s birth certificate;
• Student’s Social Security Card;
• Student’s current Alabama Immunization Certificate;
• Withdrawal papers from previous school (if applicable);
• Legal child custody paperwork (if applicable);
• Special Education paperwork (if applicable);
• Parent/Guardian picture ID; and,
• Two proofs of residency:
Daleville City School Board policy 5.20 recognizes the following items as acceptable forms of proof of residency for school enrollment:
• Property tax records;
• Mortgage documents or property deed;
• Residential lease;
• Utility bills (electric, gas, water, or trash) or deposit receipts;
• Valid driver’s license;
• Voter precinct identification; and,
• Automobile registration;

This registration is for drawing-selected Pre-K students who have already been notified of enrollment and kindergarteners who will be five years of age by Sept 1.
