Oakview Manor employee tests COVID-19 positive

Oakview Manor Health Care and Rehab on Mixon School Road in Ozark was notified Wednesday, May 27, that one employee has received a positive diagnosis for COVID-19.

The employee is not working and is receiving appropriate medical care, said Pamela Vance in a press release from Oakview Manor.

Notifications have been made to the appropriate agencies as well as residents, resident representatives and staff members, Vance said.

Since March 13, Oakview Manor has restricted visitation and implemented infection control protocol in accordance with guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

“The health and safety of our residents and staff is our top priority,” Vance said. “We are asking for the understanding and patience of the families with loved ones in our care as we do our best to ensure the well being of our residents.”
