The Enterprise boys soccer team came up short Monday, May 2, in the first round of the 7A playoffs against Auburn 3-0.
Goalkeeper Jonah Sidacyz had seven saves on goal in the match. Enterprise had eight shots on goal but the Tigers had 19 shots on goal.
“It was a real transition season for us,” coach Bruce Ladner said. “The varsity roster had eight first-time varsity players and most of the starting players were ninth or 10th graders, so we were young and went through some growing pains.
“We got better as the year went on and made the playoffs. That is encouraging for next year,” he said.
“We played a very challenging schedule and I am proud of how they competed and their sportsmanship. It’s a great group of guys to work with.”
