Gracyn Snell

Gracyn Snell (26) pitched a complete game for the Lady Cats in an 8-3 win over Robertsdale to start the Gulf Coast Classic.

The Enterprise Lady Cats started the Gulf Coast Classic with a bang during Spring Break opening the tournament with an 8-3 win over Robertsdale on March 28.

The Lady Cats scored three runs in the top of the third inning and four more in the top of the fourth to take a commanding lead over the Lady Golden Bears 7-3. Enterprise scored one more run in the top of the fourth and held Robertsdale scoreless for the rest of the game.

Gracyn Snell led the Lady Cats on the mound pitching a complete game giving up three runs on four hits with three strikeouts.

Emma Faulk had the hot bat going 3-for-3 with a double and 1 RBI. Kinley Hutto went 2-for-3 scoring two runs and 2 RBI, Taylor Danford went 1-for-2 with a triple scoring two runs and Savannah Mitten went 1-for-3 with 3 RBIs.

Enterprise had 11 hits and committed four errors while Robertsdale had four hits and no errors.

Enterprise 1, Hoover 0

The Lady Cats continued their winning ways with Skylar Frey pitching a shutout of the 7A No. 8 ranked Hoover Lady Bucs 1-0 in the second game of the day March 28.

Enterprise scored its lone run in the bottom of the fourth when Hutto singled to center field to score Emma Barrette.

Frey allowed three hits in the game with four strikeouts.

Hutto had the only hit of the game for the Lady Cats but it came at just the right time to score the only run Enterprise needed to win.

Enterprise 9, Dodgeville 3

The Lady Cats jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the top of the third to defeat Dodgeville 9-3 in the first game March 29. The big inning for Enterprise was the top of the second when the Lady Cats plated six runs.

The inning started with three straight walks to load the bases before Ane Blevins doubled on a line drive to left field to clear the bases. Georgia Lessmann reached base on an error after hitting a pop fly then Macy Robinette singled to center field to score the two base runners.

Blevins started the game on the mound for Enterprise pitching three innings and giving up three runs on six hits with three strikeouts. Jamie Jackson pitched the final inning with no hits and one strikeout.

Enterprise had 10 hits in the game and no errors while Dodgeville had six hits and three errors.

Enterprise 13, Gordonville 4

Enterprise scored five runs in the first two innings but Gordonville came back with four runs of their own in the top of the third before the Lady Cats put the game away with eight runs in the bottom of the third to win 13-4 in the second game March 29.

Jackson pitched all three innings giving up four runs on six hits with four strikeouts. She also led at the plate going 3-for-3 with a triple and 1 RBI.

Robinette went 2-for-3 scoring two runs and 2 RBIs, Snell was 2-for-2 scoring one run and 3 RBIs and Frey went 2-for-2 with a double scoring one run and 1 RBI.

Hartselle 8, Enterprise 0

The Lady Cats ran into a buzz saw Wednesday, March 30, losing to the 6A No. 2 Lady Tigers 8-0. The Lady Tigers scored all eight runs in the top of the second inning while Enterprise had trouble generating any runs.

Danford and Hutto had the lone hits for Enterprise going both going 1-for-2.

Frey led off on the mound going one and two-thirds innings giving up seven runs on seven hits with one strikeout. Snell came out of the bullpen to pitch the final two and one-third innings giving up one run on one hit with five strikeouts.
