At 5’10” Mychal Drew will be one of the tallest players on the 2012-13 Enterprise State Community College women’s basketball team.
The forward/center from Opp averaged 17 points, six assists and 10 rebounds per game as a senior.
“I chose ESCC because it is close to home and seems to be a great school,” Drew said. “I plan to graduate and transfer to a university and play ball, hopefully.
Drew plans to major in physical/athletic training at ESCC.
“My dream is to graduate from college and get a great job working as a trainer for a professional sports team,” Drew said.
Drew was chosen to the all-area team from 2007-09 and played at Lurleen Wallace Community College from 2009-10.
“Sports are an opportunity to advance in life while doing something I love to do,” Drew said. “I will bring leadership, rebounding and scoring to the ESCC team.”
Much of Drew’s success can be attributed to one person.
“My dad,” Drew said. “I have always been a daddy’s girl. He has pushed me harder than anyone and has always been there for me.”
