LEGAL NOTICE
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held before the Department of Finance of the State of Alabama Rural Electric Association, 340 Technacenter Dr., Montgomery, Alabama 36117, at 11:00 a.m., on the 23rd day of March, 2021, to determine whether consent should be given to Covington Electric Cooperative, Inc., to issue and deliver to The NATIONAL RURAL UTILITIES COOPERATIVE FINANCE CORPORATION its note and letter of credit in the principal amounts not to exceed $29,170,000.00 to finance the construction and operation of a fiber ring and broad band internet service and facilities, together will all necessary appurtenances, in the rural areas of the counties of Covington, Coffee, Crenshaw, Geneva, Dale, and Escambia, all in the State of Alabama.
Any person having an interest in the matter may attend the hearing and be heard on the question as to whether the issuance of said notes for the purposes above stated serves a public need and is in the public interest.
