BONNIE JEAN WHITEHEAD CASKEY

Bonnie Jean Whitehead Caskey, 60, of Enterprise, passed away in her husband’s arms Sunday, May 15, 2022 at her home.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 21, at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Jim Duhaime officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Linda Andress, 400 Gibson Street, Enterprise, AL 36330 or the SOS Animal Shelter, 25944 Highway 134, Enterprise, AL 36330.

Bonnie was born Feb. 16, 1962, in Maryville, Tenn. She lived in Enterprise, where she was an educator in the Enterprise City School System for several years. She also continued her career in other school systems including Dothan, Ariton and Abbeville. She retired after 25 years of teaching and enjoyed time with family and home decorating.

Mrs. Caskey was preceded in death by her father, Elden Whitehead and father-in-law, Elvis Caskey Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Jay Caskey of Enterprise; mother, Evelyn Whitehead of Enterprise; sister Connie Whitehead Meredith (Tom) of Slidell, La.; mother-in-law, Annette Caskey of Enterprise; brother-in-law, Mark Caskey of Huntsville; numerous nieces; nephews; and a special companion, Bear, who kept her company during her illness.
