The Coffee County Education Retirees Association will meet Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the Coffee County Farm Center in New Brockton at 10 a.m. Jill Jackson, AERA Executive Director, will be the guest speaker. This is also the annual Scholarship Auction so be sure to bring at least three items to be auctioned off. Don’t forget to bring pop tops, canned goods and school supplies. The Enterprise Senior Citizens Center is for anyone 60 years of age or older. There is no fee to participate in the senior center program but donations are welcomed. Art classes are offered every Tuesday from 8 until 10 a.m., and 10 a.m. until noon. Sewing classes are held on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. until noon. Chair exercise classes are held on Thursdays beginning at 10 a.m. Classes meet at 2401 Neil Metcalf Road (U.S. Highway 167 North). Enterprise Chapter 9 of the Disabled American Veterans has monthly meetings at Ruby Tuesday Restaurant in Westgate Shopping Center, 625 Boll Weevil Circle, Enterprise. The meeting is held the second Thursday each month and starts at 6:30 p.m. Come at 6 p.m. to eat prior to the meeting. All pre-retirement active duty and veterans are encouraged to attend.
