SEPT. 10

A general membership meeting of the NAACP Coffee County #5017 Branch will be held Thursday, Sept. 10 at Hammond-Sconiers Funeral Home at 5 p.m. for an election of five-15 members of the Nominating Committee. All members whose memberships are current as of 30 days prior to the meeting date may be elected to the Nominating Committee not more than 2 being officers of the unit. All members whose memberships are current as of 30 days prior to the meeting date may be elected to the Nominating Committee with not more than two being officers of the unit.

SEPT. 14

The Coffee County Republican Club will meet on Monday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m., at Po Folks Restaurant in Enterprise. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. and food will be ordered from the menu. The program begins at 6:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Terry Lathan, the Chairman of the Alabama GOP. Everyone is invited, no reservations are necessary. SEPT. 15

The Coffee County Education Retirees Association will hold its first meeting Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Po Folks in Enterprise. The meeting begins at 11 a.m. with a meal being offered for $10. AERA President Stafford Thompson will be the guest speaker. There will be social distancing, wearing masks and following CDC guidelines. The officers will be at this meeting as well as collection of dues, and free AEA face masks. Call (334) 347-0933 for further information.

SEPT. 16

The Republican Women of Coffee County will meet Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 11 a.m., at the Enterprise Country Club. The guest speaker will be KCarl Smith, who will be speaking on the countermeasure to BLM’s anarchy and anti-liberty agenda. Smith is a member of the Trump Presidential Campaign Coalition Advisory Board and is the author of the best-selling book, Frederick Douglass Republicans. Social time begins at 11 a.m. with an optional $12 buffet served by club employees beginning at 11:30 a.m. The program begins at approximately noon. Social distancing will be observed and per Governor Ivey’s directive, masks should be worn except while eating. Everyone is invited, but reservations are required.
