Friends of the Library holding Fall Book Sale
The Friends of the Enterprise Public Library is holding a Fall Book Sale Saturday, Oct. 30, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. New memberships will be accepted prior to the sale and at the door. Lots of new stock is available – popular fiction and nonfiction for all ages, DVDs, puzzles, LPs, homeschooling as well as vintage, signed and classic items will be on sale. A wide selection of history books from early civilizations to Civil War and beyond. Don’t miss this chance to buy the books you love. Money raised by the Friends’ book sales funds library projects as well as the purchase of books and materials for use by patrons. The library is located at 101 East Grubbs Street.
DAV Chapter helps veterans
DAV Chapter 9 Enterprise-Coffee County, 704 Crawford Street, Enterprise, helps veterans with claims Monday-Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. Call (334) 308-2480 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
DAV Chapter 9 van program resumes services
The DAV Chapter 9 van program has resumed services to run on Mondays and Fridays to Montgomery and Tuskegee with the same route and hours as in the past. Pick-up is at 5 a.m., at Hardee’s on Rucker Boulevard in Enterprise; and at 5:15 a.m., at Bojangle’s on Daleville Avenue at the intersection off Highway 134 in Daleville. The van will depart to travel back when the last veteran has been seen by a clinic, never later than noon.
