Flower Lovers Garden Club and the fourth grade gifted class of the Enterprise City School system planted 200 daffodil bulbs and a Red Summer Maple tree on their campus to recognize Alabama’s Arbor week during the last week in February. The district-wide class meets at the Enterprise Career and Technology Center, formerly known as College Street Elementary School. Club members teaching the students the proper way to plant a tree and annual bulbs were Cathy Brown, Jennie Clark, Don Lassiter, Leigh Cassady, Cyndy Weber and Judy Pippen. The Enterprise Gifted Team of teachers include Tricia Andress, Marty Dunn, Melissa Kennedy, Connie Thompson and Margie Tyner. This is the 12th year the club has planted 200 daffodil bulbs at a public location in Enterprise. The tree was dedicated with a ceremony and named “Hazel.” (Courtesy photo)
