Students from Enterprise, Coppinville and Dauphin junior high schools attended participated in the 13th annual Southeastern United States Middle School Concert Band Clinic.

The clinic was hosted by Troy University’s John M. Long School of Music, Dec. 6-8, and took place on Troy’s main campus.

Each year band directors from all over the Southeast submit a list of their best players and members of the honor band are selected based off director recommendations.

More than 800 student applications were received and more than 400 students were selected.

Twenty-eight junior high school students represented Enterprise City Schools including 11 from Enterprise Junior High School, 10 from Dauphin Junior High School and six from Coppinville Junior High School.

At the clinic students audition for a position in either the gold, silver and cardinal bands, gold being the top.

Once the students were assigned to each group, they had roughly eight hours to put a concert together for parents, fellow students and Troy University faculty.
