Morgan Elizabeth Quattlebaum  and John Cory Mitchell

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Russell Quattlebaum of Enterprise announce the engagement of their daughter, Morgan Elizabeth of Enterprise, to Sgt. John Cory Mitchell of Enterprise, formerly of Montgomery, the son of Judy Powers of Enterprise and LTC (ret.) and Mrs. Richard Dale Mitchell of Montgomery.

The future bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jake Mann, and the late Jake Mann, of Dothan; and Mrs. Howard Quattlebaum, and the late Howard Quattlebaum, of Enterprise.

She is a 2012 valedictorian graduate of Enterprise High School and received her bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in communication disorders from Auburn University in 2015 and her master’s degree from Auburn in speech pathology in 2017. She is a member of Delta Gamma sorority. The bride is employed by Ozark City Schools as a speech pathologist at Lisenby Primary School.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Airman 1st Class and Mrs. Robert Powers, of Montgomery; and Mrs. John Mitchell and the late CW4 (ret.) John Mitchell of Lawton, Okla.

He is a 1999 graduate of Macon-East Academy in Montgomery and attended Auburn University Montgomery. He served eight years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Honors include the Army Commendation Medal, two good conduct medals, two meritorious promotions, Navy unit commendation medal, Korean defense service medal, national defense service medal, one meritorious mast, three letters of appreciation, and the Afghanistan campaign medal.

He is currently employed with A-Best Pools.

The wedding will take place Saturday, June 30, at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Enterprise. A reception will follow by invitation only.

The couple will reside in Enterprise.
