Incoming Daleville senior football star Jalen White is coming off of a stellar 2018 season and before spring football practices even begin White has received a pair of college scholarship offers.
White received offers from both Tennessee State University and Coastal Carolina last week.
“I’m very excited about these offers,” White said. “It’s like my dreams are starting to become a reality.”
TSU is an FCS school based in Nashville, Tenn., while Coastal Carolina is an FBS school that plays in the Sun Belt Conference alongside Troy.
White, who has already attended a junior day at Troy this offseason, hopes those first offers lead to even more in the near future.
White is coming off of a 2018 season that saw him rush for 1,745 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior on his way to earning The Southeast Sun/Daleville Sun-Courier’s Elite 11 Offensive Player of the Year honors.
In two years White has rushed for a staggering 2,892 yards and 33 touchdowns at Daleville.
“Going into my senior year I want to improve on my explosiveness, field vision and cuts the most,” White said. “I’m really excited to get started.”
