The top spellers of Windham Elementary School were named following two spelling bees held Friday, April 26.

Spellers from kindergarten through second grade competed for the title of top speller.

The students spelled a variety of words, including the words "center," "driveway" and "basement."

After almost 10 rounds, Tyler Gordon placed first in the spelling bee, and Merrick Duvall placed second.

Following the K-2 spelling bee, spellers from 3-6 grades competed for the top speller spot.

These students spelled words like “royal,” “spectator” and “conquering.”

After nine rounds, Alina McKnight won first place, and Hudson Richards won second place.
