The accolades continue to pour in for Daleville’s Jalen White as USA Today revealed on Dec. 19 that White was named to the All-USA First Team.
White had already been named to the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s All-State First Team and was selected as a member of The Southeast Sun/Daleville Sun-Courier’s Elite 11 along with being named Elite 11 Offensive Player of the Year.
The All-USA team is a selection of the top high school football players that are, “chosen by the USA Today Sports staff in consultation with high school coaches and recruiting analysts,” the publication said.
White was selected as one of two running backs on the All-USA First Team offense alongside Lakeland (Fla.) running back Demarkcus Brown, who will be attending Clemson next season, and Salpointe Catholic (Ari.) running back Bijan Robinson, who is a Texas commit.
Other elite college prospects that join White on the first team offense are California quarterbacks Bryce Young (Alabama) and DJ Uiagalelei (Clemson), Pennsylvania receiver Julian Fleming (Ohio State), Texas receiver Marvin Mims (Oklahoma), Georgia tight end Arik Gilbert (Georgia) and Ohio offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr. (Ohio State).
Young was named the All-USA Offensive Player of the Year and California linebacker Justin Flowe – who is committed to Oregon – was named All-USA Defensive Player of the Year.
