One individual has been arrested and charged with crimes related to the burglaries of four Enterprise businesses.

According to Enterprise Police Department Public Information Officer Lt. Billy Haglund, the burglary investigations have been ongoing since Dec. 11, 2017.

During each of these burglaries, Haglund said, the suspect used a firearm to shoot out the front glass door of the businesses to gain entry. He said the suspect stole general merchandise during the burglaries.

EPD detectives conducted surveillance operations in areas of the city where the burglaries occurred on Dec. 29, 2017, according to Haglund. He said detectives located the suspect, who was wearing the same clothing see in surveillance footage from the burglarized businesses.

Haglund also said EPD detectives recovered a stolen firearm out of Geneva County that the suspect was carrying.

Brandon Lashun Pearson, 20, of Enterprise, was arrested and charged with four counts of third-degree burglary, discharging a firearm into a building and fourth-degree receiving stolen property.

Pearson was transported to the Coffee County Jail after his arrest.

Haglund said EPD detectives executed a search warrant where Pearson was living and recovered some of the property stolen during these burglaries.
