One arrested after physical altercation

The Enterprise Police Department responded to a burglary call in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue at 2 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 16.

EPD was advised that the suspect made forced entry through a front door of the residence.

The suspect, who had a previous dating relationship with one of the victims, immediately began a physical altercation with another individual in the residence.

The suspect struck the individual multiple times and fled the scene before EPD officers arrived.

The suspect was located a short time later and taken into custody.

Demeko Sanchez Reese, 38, of Enterprise, was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary.

He is currently being held at the Coffee County Jail. No bond has been set at this time.
