Two injured in Rucker Boulevard wreck

Two people were injured following a wreck on Rucker Boulevard this morning.

One of the victims was transported to an area hospital via Flatiron helicopter.

The accident occurred at about 7:15 this morning and involved two vehicles about a mile outside the Fort Rucker gate.

The accident backed up traffic along Rucker Boulevard with some being redirected down Dale County 1.

Extent of injuries is unknown at this time as first responders are still on the scene. However, State Trooper Kevin Cook was able to confirm there were no fatalities associated with the accident.

Responding to the accident were Enterprise Fire Department, Enterprise Police Department, Alabama State Troopers, Dale County Sheriff's Department, Level Plains Police Department and Enterprise Rescue, Inc.

Alabama State Troopers are investigating the accident. Check back with The Southeast Sun for more details as they become available.
