The Coffee County Sheriff's Office announced it is investigating the death of a woman.
According to Chief Deputy Ronnie Whitworth, the body of an individual was found in their home off County Road 647 by coworkers Monday morning, Nov. 27.
The investigation began around 8:30 a.m., he said.
"It was the coworkers that found her when she didn't show up for work," Whitworth said.
Whitworth said the CCSO did not authorize the soft lockdown of two Enterprise schools, which was believed to have been related to the death investigation.
"We didn't know anything about it until later on," he said.
The schools are no longer on lockdown.
Whitworth said the CCSO is unable to reveal much information, as the investigation is ongoing.
"There's a lot of things that I can't disclose," Whitworth said. "It's going to take a while to put all the ends together."
