ESCC student Heather Strickland earned place at the ASA National Archery Tournament in Georgia.

Enterprise State Community College and Enterprise resident Heather Strickland traveled to Augusta, Ga. on May 18 to compete in a national archery tournament.

At the Archery Shooters Association National Tournament, Strickland competed against 46 of the top female archery shooters in the Women’s Hunter Class.

Strickland finished the tournament in first place and earned herself $500 in prize money.

In February, Strickland also earned first place at the ASA Alabama State Tournament earning scholarship money in the process.

Strickland – who said that her goal is to be the Women’s Hunter Shooter of the Year – will travel to London, Ky. in June for another national tournament.
