Kevin Turley

Kevin Turley seeks to earn a seat on the Daleville City Council in the Aug. 25 municipal election.

Turley has served in public service for 25 years and feels called to serve as a member of the council. He currently serves as an Advanced EMT and firefighter with the Daleville Volunteer Fire Department, as an Advanced EMT with the Daleville Rescue Squad, and works full time at the Dothan Regional Airport.

He is a founding member, director and Advanced EMT with the all volunteer Dale EMS and Rescue Squad. He is a founding member and president of the K-9 Addi Memorial Foundation, which provides training grants to public safety K-9 teams across the country.

He has served on the Alabama FOP Honor Guard, is a lifetime member of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians and a member of the Alabama Association of Rescue Squads.

Turley has taught courses to law enforcement, emergency medical services and fire service personnel as well as to the community free of charge or at cost when items such as a provider card was being charged. He has always believed in giving back to the community.

Turley resides in Daleville with his family. He has a vested interest in the city. He wants to see the same improvements that many others in this community do. He wants to host regular town hall style meetings to solicit feedback from fellow citizens and to keep fellow citizens informed of progress.

Turley wants to host quarterly meetings with business leaders to stay informed of their needs and to track progress. He wants an open dialogue. He wants to improve the image of Daleville.

Turley has not accepted any campaign contributions that have been offered. He will donate his council salary to non profit organizations that serve Daleville.
