Football recruiting for 2021 seniors has started to heat up and Enterprise junior Josh McCray has received two more college scholarship offers already.
McCray received offers from Tennessee, UAB and Troy as a sophomore. As a junior, McCray moved from receiver back to running back – which he played as a freshman – and also moved to the defensive side as a safety.
In 2019, McCray led Enterprise with seven rushing touchdowns along with 604 yards on the ground and 32.5 tackles with a team-high four interceptions on defense. For the second year in a row McCray earned The Sun’s Elite 11 All-Around Player of the Year, as well.
Recently, McCray picked up offers from the SEC’s Kentucky and Ole Miss, marking his second and third SEC offers thus far.
Recruiting will really pick up in the summer when incoming juniors and seniors begin attending the various football camps around the country.
McCray has been invited to take part in a series of camps in New Orleans, La. hosted by Rivals.com and will also be a part of the GasCrew Elite 7-on-7 team.
GasCrew Elite will see McCray playing alongside other top recruits from around the state competing against other top recruits from all over the country in 7-on-7 competitions.
