Two Dothan men were arrested and charged with attempted murder, according a press release from the Elba Police Department.
In the evening of Jan. 27, EPD received a 911 call from a man driving on US Highway 84 coming into Elba who said he was being chased and that the vehicle chasing him was shooting at him, according to the release.
The victim stated that the occupants of the other vehicle, a white 2018 Jeep Renegade, were trying to get him to stop, according to the release.
The victim continued driving to try and escape and eventually drove to downtown Elba until EPD units could arrive.
The Jeep was stopped by EPD officers and Dayshon Williams, 18, and Tyshaun Griggs, 19, both of Dothan were arrested and charged with attempted murder, according to the release.
Four guns were recovered from the Jeep, according to the release.
The victim’s vehicle received two bullet holes in the trunk lid and rear bumper, according to the release.
Williams and Griggs were transported to the Coffee County Jail after their arrest.
