Alabama suffered its first loss of the season when Texas A&M defeated the Crimson Tide 29-24 Saturday.
The Aggies scored three times in the first quarter.
The first touchdown was a 1-yard run, which gave Texas A&M a 7-0 lead.
A touchdown pass from Johnny Manziel to Ryan Swope put the Aggies ahead 14-0, and another 1-yard run widened the lead to 20-0.
Texas A&M missed the extra point and led 20-0 after the first quarter.
Alabama running back T.J. Yeldon scored on a 2-yard run in the second quarter, and Eddie Lacy scored on another 2-yard run.
The Aggies led 20-14 at the half.
Alabama added a 28-yard field goal from Jeremy Shelley and cut its deficit to 20-17 heading into the fourth quarter.
Texas A&M added a 29-yard field goal to take a 23-17 lead before adding a 24-yard touchdown pass. The Aggies missed a two-point conversion try, but led 29-17.
Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron threw a 54-yard touchdown pass to Amari Cooper to pull the Crimson Tide to a 29-24 margin. Alabama was unable to find the end zone again after a late interception deep in Aggie territory thwarted a scoring attempt, and Texas A&M was able to secure the victory.
