Alabama’s nationally recognized First Class Pre-K Program is accepting applications for the 2019-2020 school year through March 19. Enrollment is open to all children four years of age on Sept. 1, 2019 who are residents in the Enterprise City Schools zone. This free program is full day, follows the school year calendar, and is offered at the ECS Early Education Center.
Registration forms are available online at https://alprek.asapconnected.com. Complete the form and submit it along with a birth certificate and proof of residence such as a current utility bill or copy of a lease or mortgage. These may be uploaded into the online pre-registration site or submitted directly to the school. There is no registration fee for this program.
Acceptance to the program is strictly through a random drawing process to be held on March 21 at 1 p.m. at the EEEC Cafeteria. Parents do not have to be present at the drawing. Notices will be mailed beginning April 16.
The registered applicant must meet residency requirements and submit the required completed documents set forth by the program. The child’s current immunization record must be submitted upon enrollment. Children who are eligible for kindergarten are ineligible to register. Children will not be denied participation on the basis of income, sex, race, color, national origin or disability.
