One man has been arrested after attempting to enter vehicles on Huntington Drive.
According to Public Information Officer Lt. Billy Haglund, the Enterprise Police Department responded to the 400 Block of Huntington Drive at 3 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, on a call for a suspicious person attempting to gain entry into vehicles.
Haglund said responding patrol officers made contact with the suspect, who attempted to flee on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, patrol officers apprehended the suspect without further incident, Haglund said.
He said patrol officers also discovered the suspect had two handguns in his possession.
Patrol officers arrested and charged Jumirrus Malik Flowers, 22, of Enterprise, with attempting to elude a police officer, carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.
Flowers was transported to the Coffee County Jail after his arrest.
Haglund said officers discovered one of the handguns the suspect had in his possession was stolen during an auto burglary in the area after further investigation.
Officers obtained an arrest warrant on Flowers for unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle and served the warrant on Flowers while he was incarcerated at the Coffee County Jail.
