Coffee County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Coffee County man this morning for impersonating an officer and receiving stolen property.
At about 1 a.m., the deputies were dispatched to County Road 732 concerning a red truck that was equipped with red and blue lights trying to stop vehicles.
Deputies located the vehicle at some chicken houses on County Road 732.
A short time later, the suspect, Charles Raymond Holmes, 22, of Chancellor, was taken into custody.
According to a release from the Coffee County Sheriff's office, other subjects on the scene advised deputies that the suspect might have firearms in his nearby residence.
Deputies obtained consent to search and firearms including a handgun that had been reported stolen from Enterprise, was recovered.
Holmes was charged with impersonating an officer and second-degree receiving stolen property and was transferred to the Coffee County Jail.
Items that were recovered during the search included a police-style badge, knives, handcuffs and firearms.
