The Enterprise Police Department executed a search warrant in connection with the March 11 shooting death of Leonel Vasquez-Garcia.

According to EPD Public Information Officer Michael Moore, authorities executed the search warrant at 14043 East Alabama Highway 52 in Hartford.

"Due to size of the location that was to be searched, 300 acres, and pertaining to a homicide investigation, the following agencies assisted in the execution of the search warrant: Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI); Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms (ATF); Homeland Security; National Guard Air Unit; Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA); Houston County Sheriff’s Office; Coffee County Sheriff’s Office; Pike County Sheriff’s Office; Geneva County Sheriff’s Office; Hartford Police Department and Slocomb Police Department," Moore said.

The suspect in the shooting death of Vasquez-Garcia, 40, of Enterprise, is Omar Gonzalez, 26. Moore said there is currently an active warrant on Gonzalez for murder.

If anyone has any information on Gonzalez, please contact the EPD at (334) 347-2222.
