The Enterprise Police Department was dispatched to a call about a suspect shoplifting at Walmart last night at about 8 p.m.
Walmart loss prevention personnel reported to police that a black male suspect concealed items under his clothing and when they tried to stop the suspect before he exited the store, the suspect brandished a knife and threatened to stab the loss prevention personnel.
According to EPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Billy Haglund, officers were able to locate and apprehend the suspect within a few minutes of the crime.
William Bradley Whitehurst, 57, of Enterprise, was charged with first-degree robbery and was transported to the Coffee County Jail.
