One man was arrested following a burglary call and brief foot pursuit on Friday, Feb. 8.
According to Public Information Officer Lt. Billy Haglund, the Enterprise Police Department responded to a burglary call in the 100 Block of Pledger Street at 7 a.m.
Haglund said responding officers made contact with the victim who related that a male suspect made entry into her residence through a window. The victim was physically assaulted by the suspect and sustained injuries during the offense, he said.
Haglund said the suspect stole the victim’s car keys and cell phone and then fled the residence.
Officers on scene observed an individual a few houses down matching the suspect’s description. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended and placed under arrest, according to Haglund.
The suspect was identified as Justin Ladonn Edwards, 34, of Enterprise. Edwards was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary, attempting to elude and a failure to appear warrant from Houston County.
Edwards was transported to the Coffee County Jail after his arrest.
