Police arrest woman walking in street, minors in possession of alcohol

A Troy woman was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance April 25, after police received several phone calls of a woman staggering in the road on South Daleville Avenue in Daleville.

At about 10:30 a.m., Daleville police made contact with Anna Lynn Trotter, 36, and reported the subject appeared under the influence of alcohol.

After further investigation with the suspect, Trotter was found to be in possession of five and a half Xanax pills wrapped up in a white paper napkin.

The suspect was placed in the Dale County Jail under a $2,500 bond.

In other crime, Daleville police arrested two 20-year-old males, from Enterprise, for minor in possession of alcohol and possession of a controlled substance after a routine traffic stop on South Daleville Avenue, April 25.

At about 2 a.m., Dustin Ryan Foxworth and Jason Robert Zayas were stopped for a traffic infraction as the vehicle was heading northbound toward Greenhouse Inn in Daleville.

After stopping the vehicle, police reported smelling alcohol and seeing alcohol in plain view.

After further investigation, police found the suspects to be in possession of what is believed to be ecstasy and acid.

The two were charged and transported to the Dale County Jail. Foxworth was released on a $5,000 bond on April 26. Zayas was released on April 26 on a $6,000 bond.
