Daleville City Schools’ students will get a chance to show off their talents and compete for a trophy in the sixth annual Daleville’s Got Talent Show, Thursday, at 6 p.m., in the old high school gym.

The “Star Search” themed talent show, hosted by the Daleville High School Talon Staff, will feature 10 students acts including singers, musicians and dancers.

Students of all grade levels are taking to the stage to display their talent and for the chance to win a prize.

A panel of volunteer judges with musical backgrounds will score all 10 acts, and trophies will be awarded for the top three acts.

Competitors will be judged on their stage presence, appearance and overall performance.

The show is expected to a last an hour, with each performance about five minutes long.

Planning for the event began early in the year and all students who rehearsed to be in the talent show made it.

The organizer of the event and Daleville High School Talon Staff advisor, Angelia Fulford, said she is impressed by the performers’ skills and looks forward to the show.

“We have some wonderful singers, performers,” Fulford said. “Some of our younger students we’re looking forward to seeing what they’re going to do this year.”

Tickets for the show are $5 and can be purchased at the door.

All proceeds from the talent show will go toward the Talon Staff.

“We’d like everybody to come out and support the young talent that we have here at Daleville City Schools,” Fulford said.
