Two people were injured following a two-vehicle accident on Highway 85 in Daleville June 5.

According to Daleville Department of Public Safety officer Ryan Phillips, the crash occurred at approximately 11:28 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Highway 85 South and Skyline Drive.

Phillips said Tiffany Cotter, 21, of Daleville, was the driver of a white Toyota Prius pulled out from Skyline Drive onto Highway 85 and was struck on the driver’s side by Alexandra Miller, 22, of Level Plains, the driver of a blue Ford Escort traveling South on Highway 85.

The driver of the white Toyota Prius was extracted from the vehicle by the "jaws of life," and both drivers were taken to Flowers Hospital in Dothan via ambulance.

According to Daleville police investigator Lt. Kenny Jackson, both victims were released from the hospital with minor injuries.

Responding to the accident were Daleville Department of Public Safety police, fire and rescue.
