A pedestrian has been taken to a hospital after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning, May 7.
According to Public Information Officer Lt. Billy Haglund, the Enterprise Police Department responded to a traffic accident involving a single motor vehicle and a pedestrian that occurred on Boll Weevil Circle near the intersection of Dauphin Street at 7:08 a.m.
Haglund said preliminary investigations revealed that a pedestrian was attempting to cross Boll Weevil Circle when he was struck by oncoming traffic.
He said the pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was transported by air ambulance to a hospital.
Haglund said the driver of the motor vehicle was not injured.
The EPD Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the accident. No further information will be released.
