Murder suspect captured during SWAT raid

On Wednesday, Aug. 16, Enterprise murder suspect Jareece Blackmon and two other unidentified individuals were captured after a police raid on a residence near Publix.

Blackmon, 23, of Enterprise, is the suspect in an shooting that left one man dead on Aug. 15 at 9 p.m. in the 200 Block of Sherwin Street.

Enterprise Police Department detectives obtained a warrant for murder for Blackmon.

Dothan SWAT performed the raid, where approximately two flash bangs were fired.

According to Enterprise Police Chief T.D. Jones, no one was hurt during the raid.

"I'm glad everyone is safe," he said. He thanked the other agencies for their assistance.

Dothan SWAT, Houston County Sheriff's Office, Enterprise Police Department, the Coffee County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshals assisted in the raid.
