The Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama has released its test score analysis for the 2013 administration of the Alabama Reading and Math Test and Enterprise City School Superintendent Camille Wright was proud to announce that Enterprise City Schools ranked seventh in the state.
The school system was ranked seventh among 134 Alabama school districts.
Wright said this is a great accomplishment for the school system but their goal is to continue on the path of success and reach the top spot in the state.
In the spring of 2013, Enterprise students in grades 3-8 took the ARMT test for the final time.
This spring, new tests developed by the ACT testing company will be given in place of the ARMT and will serve as a measure of student and school performance in these grades.
PARCA, a research group out of Samford University, developed a system for comparing school and system performance to state averages, focusing on the percentage of students scoring at Level IV on the ARMT test.
Wright said Level IV correlates to mastery on national terms.
PARCA also released information focused on closing the achievement gap with results available by grade and subject broken down by demographic and economic subgroups within a school population.
