• The Klondyke Gospel Music Center will be hosting the following concerts: Aug. 10, Benton Brothers Bluegrass from Banks; Aug. 17, Giles Family from Ozark; Aug. 24, Sonrise Alabama from Daleville; and Aug. 31, Jesse Tadlock from Montgomery. The center is located halfway between Newton and Ozark on Hwy. 123 South.
• Students and parents interested in learning more about the University of Alabama are invited to attend a presentation from the National Alumni Association at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, at the Ozark First United Methodist Church. The Alumni Scholarship Assistance Program session will be presented by UA staff members from alumni scholarships, the admissions recruiter and Early College. Learn about applying for admission and scholarships and many aspects of campus.
• The Daleville Lions Club meets at 6 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at Mafoosky’s Deli on Daleville Avenue.
• The Lovely Touch Garden Club meets the second Tuesday of each month at the Daleville Senior Center at 6:30 p.m.
