Windham Elementary School is currently holding its 2019-20 Pre-K registration though March 20.

Applications are being accepted online for the upcoming school year. Forms are available alprek.asapconnected.com.

Enrollment into the First Class Pre-K Program is open to all children who are four years of age on or before Sept. 1. Children must also be residents of Alabama.

Children who are eligible for kindergarten are ineligible to apply for a spot in the Pre-K program.

When applying for the program, a copy of the child's birth certificate must be provided. This may be uploaded to the online pre-registration website or submitted directly to WES.

Proof of residence, such as a current utility bill or a copy of a lease or mortgage, must also be provided. This information can also be uploaded to the pre-registration website or submitted directly to WES.

Upon enrollment, the child's immunization record must be provided.

There is no registration fee for this program.

Students will be selected to participate in the Pre-K program through a random drawing process. The drawing will be held on March 21 at 2 p.m. at the gym at WES.

Parents or guardians do not have to be present at the drawing. Notices will be emailed beginning April 16.

For more information, call WES at (334) 598-4466 or visit www.children.alabama.gov.
