A Daleville woman was sentenced to four years of probation after a jury found her guilty of felony electronic solicitation of a child.
Circuit Court Judge William Filmore suspended a 96-month, or 8-year prison sentence to 48 months probation for Heather Fulford Bryant during a July 10 sentencing hearing.
Bryant, 32, was arrested July 26, 2013, after soliciting who she believed was a 15-year-old girl for sex during an undercover operation by Daleville police investigators.
Investigators said Bryant responded to an ad on Craiglist and later exchanged emails and text messages with who she believed was a teenage girl in an attempt to solicit her for sex. Bryant was arrested upon her arrival at a planned meeting location in Enterprise.
Bryant initially faced two to 20 years in prison for the felony conviction. Her attorney, Bill Kominos, requested probation for his client, who he said is a wife and mother to three children.
In addition to serving her probation sentence, Bryant must also register as a sex offender in her county of residence.
